Phase Two: Nova
This section tells how to change your char-acter from normal human to nova.
  • Step One: Origin

  • Choose the circumstances of your
    character's transformation.
  • Step Two: Nova Points

  • Spend 30 nova points on Mega-Attributes; enhancements; quantum powers; Quantum; Quantum Pool; or extra Attributes, Abilities and Backgrounds.
    Quantum cannot be raised higher than 5; if Quantum is 5, the character gains +1 permanent Taint.
  • Step Three: Phase Two Finishing Touches

  • Record Taint and aberrations (if any), changes to skill totals (if any), changes to Initiative and movement (if any); bashing and lethal soak; décide on any physical changes made by éruption.

    Italicized items can be bought as tainted powers; tainted powers cost half the normal cost per dot (round up), but they impose one point of permanent Taint per dot so purchased. A
    tainted Level 1 power costs one nova point per two dots purchased.

    Adding an Extra to a Level 1 or 2 quantum power increases the level of the power by one for purposes of purchasing thé power. So, a Level 2 power purchased with an Extra costs five nova points (or three nova points if bought tainted) per dot.
